ZSOUND VCX Line Array Speaker: Ensuring Every Corner Echoes Perfectly at Cactus Music Festival

The Cactus Music Festival in Wuhan took place on May 1-2, 2025 and was a tremendous success, partially attributed to ZSOUND’ VCX 14 inch line array speakers. These professional concert speakers played a big part in making sure all 35,000 attendees enjoyed a great and true live concert experience. As side fill, rear fill, and corner fill, the VCX line array speakers were used cleverly and strategically to deliver good sound coverage.

Installation and Set-up:

As you might imagine, the set-up effort was substantial in both planning and execution. On both sides of the stage, 16 VCX speakers were side fill, with 6 strings of 12 speakers for back fill, and also there were a number of corner fill set-ups throughout the venue to make sure any gaps were filled and the sound quality was consistent. While the VCX had multiple speaker angles to help the rotational effect from the ground and in the air, the exact sound coverage and directionality was very helpful.

Technical Performance and Highlights:

Frequency Response: The VCX kept true to that production range of 55 Hz to 16 kHz (±3 dB) and 45 Hz to 19 kHz (-10 dB) were within 70/80hz rate response range addition to additional resonant ranges.

Control of nominal coverage to 80° in the horizontal plane for each VCX made it a customized fit for any sized venue with a narrow spectral range.
