ZSOUND Performance System FAQ (Part I)
Q: Why does the ZSOUND LA110 system need to be paired with the LA110S?
A: The LA110S is paired with the LA110 system to extend the low-frequency output of the LA110 system, achieving a balanced sound. In conference applications, the LA110S can be used as a subwoofer without the need to pair it with the S118H speaker. This pairing ensures optimal performance within the overall ZSOUND performance system.
Q: Can the LA110 be directly paired with the S118H or other subwoofers?
A: No, although the frequency response curve of the LA110 can be matched with the S118H, the sound subjectively lacks mid-low frequencies. It is recommended to use the LA110S for a better audio experience.
Q: Why does the ZSOUND LA110 system use four-core speaker cables exclusively? Can the LA110S and S118H use two-core cables?
A: The LA110 is a two-way, two-driver full-range speaker. The tweeter and woofer need to be separately driven by an amplifier through a processor. That is, one channel of the amplifier drives the tweeter, and the other channel drives the woofer. Therefore, a four-core speaker cable is required. The LA110S and S118H can use two-core speaker cables, but for the convenience of system connection and to avoid distinguishing between different speaker cables, a four-core speaker cable is uniformly adopted.
Q: Why do the ZSOUND LA110, LA110S, and S118H use metal connectors instead of the common NEUTRIK four-core connectors?
A: The NEUTRIK four-core connectors are prone to poor contact between pins, which can cause one of the speaker units to be silent. The use of locking metal connectors ensures a very secure connection, eliminating the aforementioned issues and enhancing the reliability of the overall performance system.
