On October 29, 2023, it took our technical director Mr. Peng to Mongolia, where he delivered a complete sound system training for the teams of our distributor, Fly Sound LLC, built around two of the largest systems in the ZSOUND catalog: the VCX line array and the S221 subwoofer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"why-the-vcx-s221-pair-deserves-a-masterclass\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why the VCX + S221 Pair Deserves a Masterclass<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was a deep-dive on serious hardware. The VCX is ZSOUND&#8217;s full-size three-way line array element: dual 14-inch low-frequency drivers, a dedicated midrange section, and three compression drivers per box, rated to a maximum SPL of 152 dB \u2014 the system that anchors our largest touring and installation projects. Underneath it, the S221 subwoofer pairs dual 21-inch drivers with a 3,600-watt AES power rating and 151 dB of output, reaching down to 27 Hz (\u00b13dB). Knowing the numbers is only the start; opening up how the system is built \u2014 why the driver complement is arranged the way it is, what the rigging hardware does, how the software models the hang \u2014 gives a distributor team the ability to answer their own customers&#8217; hardest questions. By the end of the session, the Fly Sound team had a deeper, structural understanding of ZSOUND&#8217;s big, powerful VCX + S221 sound system, not just a familiarity with its brochure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"hanging-and-debugging-in-the-field\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hanging and Debugging in the Field<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No ZSOUND system training stops at the whiteboard. The outdoor session moved to the truss, where the team flew the VCX array element by element \u2014 rigging hardware, angles, and safety checks, followed by hanging and debugging practice on the assembled system. Setting array angles and verifying the result by measurement is where line array theory becomes muscle memory; doing it on the flagship rig, with the engineer who designed the training, is the fastest way to earn that confidence. In 2017 the company was officially authorized by Rational Acoustics for Smaart sales and training in China, formalizing the measurement-based approach that underpins every masterclass.
